Products and Ingredients

Is skim or whole milk right for me?

Aside from the differing shelf lives (9 months for whole milk, and 12 months for skim), the two products have the same nutritional value as liquid milk. So, when considering between skim and whole, make the decision as you would for liquid milk.

When switching from liquid milk, should I be concerned about missing vitamins?

Our milk powder contains the same vitamins, calcium, and protein as liquid milk, resulting in a very similar nutritional profile. Therefore, there is no need to be concerned about missing out on daily vitamin intake when making the switch.

Are there any allergens that I should be aware of before purchasing?

Aside from the milk in our product, there are no defined priority allergens in our food production system, as defined by CFIA.

Preparation and storing

What is the reconstitution process?

For smoothness and flavour, we suggest that you mix the milk at night for next day use.

To make one glass:

Add three tablespoons of powder to one glass (225 ml) of cold water.

To make one litre:

In a shaker, add 1+1/3 cup of cold water with 2/3 cup of milk powder.

Swirl mixture to wet powder.

Then, shake vigorously for 10 seconds.

Next, add 2 cups of water before giving it another shake, and then refrigerating overnight.

How should I store milk powder?

Store your milk powder in a tightly sealed package, preferably its original packaging, in a cool dry environment. For best results, ensure the package is sealed well.

How do I store the rehydrated milk?

Rehydrated milk should be kept refrigerated.

What is the shelf life of milk powder?

The shelf life for the skim milk powder is 12 months. The shelf life for whole milk powder is 9 months.

If you are concerned about whether your product has expired, please see the Best Before Date label on the bag.

What is the shelf life of rehydrated milk?

We recommend that you consume it within 4-5 days of reconstitution.

How do I read my lot code?

Lot codes refer to the production date, not the expiry date, and follow DDMMYY-XXXX.

Where DD represents the day, MM represents the month, and YY represents the year of the production date.

Can I make my own partial skim milk?

To make your own partial skim milk, use 2 parts skim milk powder and one-part whole milk powder. For example, to make one glass of partial skim milk, use 2 tablespoons of skim milk powder, one tablespoon of whole milk powder, and one glass of cold water.
